This guide installs the OCS Inventory NG server using the official documentation steps.
Install Apache, database server, PHP, and Perl modules required by OCS Inventory NG.
Download the latest OCS Inventory NG server tarball from the official website and extract it:
tar -xvzf OCSNG_UNIX_SERVER-2.12.x.tar.gz
cd OCSNG_UNIX_SERVER-2.12.x
Run the setup script and follow the prompts to configure the database and web services:
sh setup.sh
When the installer asks for the web console, clone the OCSReports repository into your web directory (for example, /usr/share/ocsinventory-reports).
Open the OCS Inventory NG web console in your browser and complete the initial configuration.
