¶ Setup Amanda with Docker
Amanda is primarily designed for host-level backup infrastructure (server/client components, media handling, and network trust configuration). There is no common first-party Docker deployment model documented by the project.
- Deploy Amanda directly on Linux hosts or dedicated backup VMs.
- Keep catalog, holding disk, and media paths on persistent host storage.
- Use containerization only for isolated lab testing with custom images.
